The engine coolant temperature indicator is a sensor that monitors the internal temperature of your car's engine.Coolant flows through the engine block and cylinder heads, absorbing heat while the engine runs.
The sensor triggers a number of important engine functions, assisting in performance while the car is warming up, while running and as temperature increases. The sensor will also indicate when something is wrong and the engine is overheating. A faulty sensor can have a detrimental effect on performance when the engine is warming up, emissions and fuel economy and could fail to identify an overheating engine.
This symbol indicates that there may be a problem with one of the vehicle's airbags.
If this indicator comes on you should have it checked as soon as possible to ensure that the safety of your vehicle is not compromised.
Your AutoPlus Autoexperts can test, identify and rectify air bag problems.
The ABS (anti-skid/anti-lock) warning light may come on if there is a fault with the ABS system or with the basic brake system, or if the brake fluid level is low.
If only the ABS light comes on it is likely to be a problem with the ABS system and the basic brake system should work normally. The entire brake system should be inspected as soon as possible - keep in mind that in the event of an emergency stop, the ABS system may not operate and the vehicle could skid out of control. Another light coming on with the ABS light could be an indication of an even more serious problem - a fault in the basic brake system, which could result in a full brake failure. That is why in this instance it usually be best to have the vehicle towed for inspection. If you are uncertain about what to do, call your local AutoPlus Autoexpert Service Centre team for assistance.
This light will normally be associated with another warning. Look for a text display on the instrument panel or other warning symbol. It may also indicate simple reminders including time for a service or even a door ajar. In some European vehicles, this symbol in yellow may indicate a fault in the vehicle's Stability Control System.
